- Start a line with
/TODOto make it a task - Add

- The header says Offline, and how many days have changes waiting
- Reconnect, and the changes are sent on their own
- Changed the same line on two devices? Both are kept until you choose

Capturing meetingsLive transcripts, summaries and notes.
Press the microphone button to capture a meeting.
- Choose In-person or Online
- Press Start: the transcript appears as people talk
- Press Stop and save: the meeting lands in today's note
Open a meeting from its chip in the note to read the transcript, get a summary or ask about it. For online calls in a browser, see the Audio Helper.
Transcription runs on your device, in English. A browser uses Smaller (Moonshine). DayCarp for Mac has More Accurate (NVIDIA Parakeet) built in, with Smaller as a download; DayCarp for Windows has Smaller built in and downloads More Accurate on its first start; on iPhone and iPad, Smaller is built in and More Accurate is a download. Each app chooses in Settings → Meeting Capture.
Let people know you're taking notes, and follow the recording laws where you and they are: Recording consent.

Audio HelperHear everyone on an online call, in a browser.
In a browser, DayCarp hears your microphone. To capture the other people on a Zoom, Google Meet or Teams call, it needs your computer's sound too.
- In Capture meeting → Online, download the Audio Helper for Mac or Windows
- Open it once and leave it running in the menu bar or tray
- Back in DayCarp, click Check again
- It only passes system audio along while you're capturing
- In Chrome or Edge you can share the meeting's tab instead
- DayCarp for Mac and DayCarp for Windows have it built in: no helper needed
On a Mac, its first start asks to allow System Audio Recording.

SettingsYour plan, password, AI and more.
Each group opens in place. Change what you need, then Save changes.
- Account: plan, email, password, two-factor sign-in
- AI and Meeting Capture: how DayCarp listens and answers
- Shared links and Connected apps: what can see your notes
iPhone and iPad
- Capture a meeting in the room. Tap the microphone, choose In-person meeting, then Start capturing. It keeps going with the screen locked or another app open, and the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the time with Pause and Stop.
- Online calls. An iPhone or iPad can’t hear another app’s call audio, so for Zoom, Meet or Teams calls use DayCarp for Mac or Windows, or DayCarp in your browser with the Audio Helper. For a call on speaker in the room, capture it in person.
- Speech models. Smaller is built into the app and works offline. More Accurate is an optional download on iOS 18 or later, in Settings → Meeting Capture. The audio never leaves your device either way.
- Microphone turned off? Open the iPhone or iPad Settings app → DayCarp, and turn on Microphone.
- Shortcuts. Touch and hold the DayCarp icon for Today and Capture Meeting. On an iPad with a keyboard, hold ⌘ to see every shortcut.
- Plans bought in the app are App Store subscriptions: see Plans and billing. Restore purchases is in the app’s plan dialog.
Signing in and your account
I forgot my password
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password? and enter your email address. We’ll send you a link to choose a new one. Resetting it signs you out on your other devices.
My sign-in code or email didn’t arrive
Check your spam, junk or quarantine folder, and add help@daycarp.com to your contacts. Codes come from DayCarp <help@daycarp.com>. You can ask for a new code on the same screen. Still nothing after a few minutes? Email us from that address.
I lost the phone I use for two-factor sign-in
On the code screen, choose Lost your phone? Use a recovery code and enter one of the recovery codes you saved when you set it up. Each one works once. Once you’re in, make new ones in Settings → Account → Two-factor sign-in. No codes left? Email us from your account’s address and we’ll help you back in.
I signed up with Apple, Google or Microsoft
Use the same button each time you sign in. In Settings → Account you can connect another of them, or add a password (we email you a link to set it), so you have more than one way in.
How do I change my email address?
In Settings → Account → Email, add the new address and enter the 6-digit code we send to it, then make it your primary address. You can sign in with any verified address; account notices go to the primary one.
I’m signed in somewhere I shouldn’t be
Settings → Account → Signed-in devices lists every browser and app signed in to your account. Sign out any of them there, then change your password if you think someone else knows it.
Plans and billing
What happens when my trial ends?
New accounts start with 7 days of Ultimate, with no card needed. After that you’re on the Free plan unless you choose Pro or Ultimate: your notes, topics, hashtags, search, offline use, export and images up to 100 MB stay free, with no time limit. Tasks, meeting capture, AI, version history and sharing are on Pro and Ultimate. See the plans.
I subscribed on the website
Open Settings → Account → Manage billing to change your plan or card, see your invoices, or cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.
I subscribed in the iPhone or iPad app
That subscription is billed and managed by Apple. To change or cancel it, open the Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → DayCarp (Apple’s guide). For a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com: Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases. If your plan doesn’t show up in DayCarp, tap Restore purchases in the app’s plan dialog.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, then move to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted: your notes, meetings and images stay, and the paid features come back if you subscribe again. Web payments aren’t refunded for partial periods, except where the law requires it (Terms). If something went wrong with a charge, email us.
Delete your account
You can do it yourself, in any DayCarp app or on the web, at any time.
- Sign in at note.daycarp.com, or open DayCarp for Mac, Windows, iPhone or iPad.
- Open Settings → Account and choose Delete account… at the bottom.
- Read what will be deleted, then confirm with your email address and your password (or an emailed code).
- What’s deleted: your account and everything in it, right away: notes, tasks, topics, images, meeting transcripts, AI and plugin settings, and connected AI apps. Backups expire on their own schedule. This can’t be undone.
- Export first if you want a copy: ⋮ menu → Export, as Markdown or PDF.
- A website subscription is cancelled at once, without a refund for the rest of the period.
- An App Store subscription isn’t cancelled by deleting your account: cancel it in your Apple Account’s subscriptions (how), or Apple keeps billing it.
- Signed up with Apple, Google or Microsoft and never set a password? Confirm with a 6-digit code we email to your address instead. Deleting an account made with Apple also ends DayCarp’s access to your Apple ID.
- Can’t sign in? Email help@daycarp.com from your account’s address and we’ll delete it for you once we’ve confirmed it’s yours.
